American made pool tables cost a premium, as do Belgium and German. Construction techniques and materials vary based on price point. For this category the budget is a vital part of the search for the right table. Full framed and top grade hardwood tables do fetch a premium, but name brands do increase dramatically. You are buying a functional piece of furniture, resale is readily available but the market is flooded so they are tough to move at a fair price. Generally a used higher end table will only resell for ½ to 1/3 the original purchase price. This can be a smart way to buy a high end table for a recreation table price!
