What is the size of a regulation pool table?
Written by Rob Kay

The regulation for pool table playing surface size is simply that it is twice as long as wide. For a tournament table or most pool halls in the Northeast, the table of choice is 9ft. However, a standard size for a home table is 8ft. You do see bar or commercial style tables as small as 6ft all the way up to 12ft for a full-size English Snooker table. When in doubt, measure across the table (short side) between the nose of the cushions where the ball strikes. Below is a guide to determine your table size.

68"x 136"   12ft English snooker table

56"x 112"   10ft pocket billiard, billiards, pyramid or snooker table

50"x 100"   9ft full size home or commercial pocket billiard table

44"x 88"     8ft standard home, large coin-operated table

38"x 76"     7ft medium home, standard coin-operated table

32"x 64"     6ft small home table
